Jay and Ginger McSwain Jay McSwain, MDIV Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and
Ginger McSwain are passionate about helping people discover the JOY
of the Christian life...giving your life away to others! One of the
foundational pillars of their ministry is to under gird and support
the local minister and his family. Believing the teachings of the
Bible in Ephesians 4:12 that ministers are to equip God's people for
work of the church, they believe that the ministry of PLACE was entrusted
to them as a resource to help individuals realize God's unique design
and purpose for their lives. Convinced that if more people became
involved in the works and ministries of the church, the minister and
his family would have more opportunity for a balanced life - personally,
spiritually, and professionally.
For more than 20 years, Jay has been helping people discover their unique
God-given traits and abilities while helping them maximize their personal
effectiveness in both life and ministry. This passionate leader has impacted
the lives of countless youth, singles and adults while seeing unprecedented
numeric and spiritual growth as people begin to discover what they have
to give...and then giving. Jay has served as both a staff member and a lay-volunteer in churches
ranging in membership from 10 to over 9,000 members. In 1997, he and
his wife, Ginger, partnered with Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
to research the school's alumni. Earlier in his life, Jay helped to facilitate
the rapid growth of his family's business, a development and residential
construction company. Jay's specialty was in the development and implementation
of both a quality control and a customer service department. It is now
one of the largest residential builders in the United States. These experiences, combined with Jay's dynamic leadership and motivational
style, offer a unique perspective in assessing the health of a church.
As an author, speaker, and guest on both radio and television, Jay's
passion for people is quickly caught and not easily forgotten. Ginger McSwain has joyfully served along side her husband since meeting
on a blind date at their church (and marrying 4 months later) in 1991.
She is a compassionate woman finding her optimal place of service in
ministering to young women in their journey with God - specifically in
transitional times of their lives. She has been involved with Singles,
Engaged Couples, and Women's ministries in her home church. While serving
as Volunteer Staff with Jay at Golden Gate Seminary, she was very involved
in campus life, mentoring young single women and in various family ministries.
She was instrumental in establishing the Prayer Ministry for the Campus
as well as the Partners In Ministry Program. Partners in Ministry is
designed for those individuals who are looking for Biblical, Cultural,
and Sensitivity training while their spouses are obtaining their Seminary
degree. Jay and Ginger live in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoy spending time with
their two daughters, Maggie and Mary Elaine.
