Dear Fellow Pastors,
I am writing to share my excitement for a ministry that I believe could revolutionize, how you “do” church. Most ministries face at least two challenges: How do we get workers for the varied tasks in our organization? and How do we help people to find the PLACE in which they should serve?
PLACE Ministries, helps individuals
answer the second question which will lead to answering
the first question. By looking at the five elements
of a person’s PLACE profile:
Personality Discovery, Learning Spiritual Gifts, Abilities Awareness, Connecting Passion to Ministry and Experiences of Life, you can help people to understand how God has created and shaped them.
PLACE is the ministry tool that we
are using to disciple church members, new and long-term,
for the purpose of assimilating them into the life
and ministry of the church.
Please prayerfully consider using the PLACE process in your church.
In Him,

As the Director of Congregational Ministries here at Northeast Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg, Florida, one of my main ministry responsibilities includes the assimilation
of our members into the Body of Christ. The most valuable and effective tool that I have ever used within the past 19 years, to help me assist people in discovering their place in the Body and to teach them how God has uniquely designed them to serve Him, is the PLACE self-discovery process.
The fact that this is a Bible-based
curriculum, made for instant appeal. Many folks
were somewhat familiar with their personality types,
very few had a clue about what their spiritual
gifts were, and none realized that the environment
in which they should be serving. They had never
identified their passions for various ministry
groups. These, combined together with life experiences,
created a picture of who they were and where they
could best serve Christ inside and outside the
church.
It has been most invigorating for
me to see a connection made on the faces of individuals,
when all of a sudden they “see the light.” That the reason they may have liked or disliked some Kingdom work in which they had previously served, made them desire more or less of it!
I am excited to now be able to match
ministry needs with the uniquely created believers
the Lord has brought to our church family. There’s a unique PLACE for everyone to serve our King!
In His love,
