God created us all for a purpose (Ephesians 2:10). To help us accomplish our purpose, He gifted us all with spiritual gifts and talents so that we can use them for His glory. Discovering your spiritual gifts is just the beginning.
After identifying your spiritual gifts, understanding which abilities complement your personality, and connect you to your passion and life experiences will enable you to better understand where God is taking you. This is where PLACE and the PLACE process comes in, we’re here to help you grasp the ‘big picture’ for your life so you can target which ministry you can best apply your talents.

For churches, we help churches ensure that they are good stewards of their resources. Certainly financial resources are easy to track and show on a balance sheet – but how about your people resources? Are you being good stewards of those resources as well? We equip churches with the right tools to help recruit volunteers and place them in a ministry that best utilizes their gifts and talents.

If you desire to begin PLACE at your church you must first determine your purpose.  In order to do this, begin by understanding the entire PLACE process in the following three levels.  Understanding the process in its entirety will help you determine at what level you want to engage.

Level One: Personal Discovery

Level Two: Personal Coaching 

Level Three: Personal Connection

Level One:  Personal Discovery
As an individual, you want to be intentional with your time and resources. You’re looking to better understand what spiritual gifts and talents God’s blessed you with to glorify Him. You want to know how you can start living out God’s plan for your life. We can help with the PLACE Personal Discovery Resources listed below.
As a church, desiring to take people through personal discovery learning Personality, Spiritual Gifts, Abilities, Passions and Life Experiences you can start by using one of the PLACE Personal Discovery Resources below.
At PLACE, we have different assessment tools listed below to help you gain insight and answers so that you can be intentional. Note: we also have these resources available for students.

After you’ve completed one or more of the personal-discovery tools above, and are ready to gain a better understanding of the results…

As an individual, you can read a wealth of information within the resources themselves that will give in depth insights into your unique God-given design.
This is where the PLACE process ends for individuals, unless you attend a church or organization that provides PLACE Coaching by trained PLACE Personal Connection Coaches.

As a church, you will have a choice to be satisfied with using the resources at this Personal Discovery Level, giving everyone involved a biblical and insightful view of how God created them or, add the second level,Personal Coaching that will provide each person with a one to one coaching session by a trained PLACE Coach within your congregation.  Training materials for PLACE Connection Coaches may be found within the PLACE store.

Level Two:  Coaching
Adding this level to the PLACE process extends a churches intentional plan to help people find their PLACE in life and ministry.  This level includes the Personal Discovery Level by using the PLACE Personal Discovery Resources then adding a Personal Connection Session led by a trained Connection Coach.

Connection Coaches are individuals trained with in a churches body to meet one to one with an individual who has completed the personal discovery.  A PLACE Connection Coach uses their trained and God-given skills to validate and guide the individual into his or her optimal ministry based on how God has created them.

At this level a church will begin to see an increase in servanthood to a small degree.  The individual will see the value the church is investing into their lives and will be able to evaluate ministry opportunities, plus, build unity through relationships.

If a church decides to end the PLACE process with this level it will be up to the individual to take action on their ministry service recommendations.

However, a church does have the option to add Level Three: Connecting.
If a church adds this level to levels one and two they have determined their purpose by engaging in the entire PLACE Process.

Level Three:  Personal Connection

Adding this level to the PLACE process extends a churches intentional plan to help people find their PLACE in life and ministry.  This level includes the Personal Discovery Level, by using the PLACE Personal Discovery Resources then adding a Personal Connection Session, led by a trained Connection Coach then, engage ministry leaders to actually CONNECT an individual to a meaningful ministry. 

As a church adding this level to one and two you commit to the administrative processes and procedures needed to connect individuals to a specific ministry.

At this level a church will begin to see an increase in servanthood to a large degree
