I want to thank-you for your desire to learn more about PLACE and how It can help you accomplish your purpose in engaging volunteers. Also, I want to thank-you for taking the time to read this note and hopefully watch these short videos provided back-to-back-to-back. Why?
Thirdly, we talk about COMMUNICATING YOUR PURPOSE and objective over and over within your church.
Now with the above said in watching the videos below notice how both myself and my Senior Pastor (Jeff Jackson) two years apart are basically communicating the same message that you will hear fleshed out in practical application from two of our members (Chris and Leah Millsaps) in the video.
There is much to teach regarding implementing a process like PLACE and I hope you will first start with again watching the short videos below along with considering to purchase our Implementation Guide and looking at our Upcoming PLACE Workshops that we offer throughout the year where I teach on why and how to implement a process like PLACE into your objectives.
The three videos above were done in 2016 (the one of me), 2017 (Chris and Leah Millsaps-church members) and 2018 (Jeff Jackson, my senior pastor). Almost 10 years ago I re-wrote our Implementation Guide and wrote about four steps to successfully implementing a process and resource like PLACE. And while the Implementation Guide has many principles throughout there are three that are communicated often in the Implementation Guide.
Serving Him Together,
First, you have to DETERMINE YOUR PURPOSE and objective of using PLACE. At First Redeemer Church where I serve as Pastor of Discipleship, we communicate over and over again that we desire for our people to become ENGAGED and INVOLVED in the life and ministries of our church.
Secondly, in our Implementation Guide, we write about the Senior Pastor SUPPORT. For a resource and process like PLACE to be effective beyond just personal discovery you must have the support of the Senior Pastor.
